The Ideation Stage
The ideation stage is where the magic happens and where it is energized. Ideas come from a variety of sources, including the history of the Orient that we grew up learning in school, the world of the Orient that is difficult to fully describe, and even the minutiae of our daily lives. Our lives revolve around nurturing these ideas, refining sketches and engaging in discussions until the concept is fully developed.

"When I created YYBZ Keycaps, I just didn't want to see more artists with the ability to create original designs become cogs in society, forced to work commercially until they are too numb to be inspired. The dreams they started with are being washed away mercilessly by the torrent of this fast-paced era."
Evans — Founder
We see ourselves as purveyors of Eastern culture
Some ideas, such as extensions of the same series of themes, can become reality in a matter of days. Other ideas, like how to incorporate ancient Chinese architectural culture into this tiny keycap, take a long time to refine the concepts contained within. Improving our skills is part of this process.
When an idea is refined to the point where it is feasible, we enter the 3D modeling phase.
We see ourselves as purveyors of Eastern culture, drawing on deep creativity, emotion and imagination to give the brand a deeper meaning.
During this phase, we conducted countless 3D printing experiments. For us, 3D modeling is one of those things where, when inspiration strikes, it takes us a long time to refine our vision. If the results don't meet our expectations, we revisit and iterate the design until we are collectively satisfied.
Two required quality checks
Every handmade keycap produced by YYBZ must pass two critical tests before it is delivered to the customer. Each handmade keycap must be clear and flawless, with minimal air bubbles or dust, and identical in color and shape to the conceptual design. Additionally, these keycaps must fit tightly and perform properly with minimal tolerances when installed on a variety of keyboards (every keyboard we could find).
